Chapter Two: First Arrival in Zeta

The ship hurtled across the vast expanse of space like a lone shooting star across the endless dark abyss. Inside, the faint lights mingle with the flickering instrument glow, creating a tense and mysterious atmosphere. Tom and the team stared intently at the instruments and screens, their faces silhouetted by the shadows.

"Everything is normal for now, and at this rate, we expect to approach the source galaxy soon." Kobayashi sat in the driver's seat, holding the stick tightly with both hands and looking firmly ahead. His forehead oozed fine beads of sweat, twinkling in the weak light, like crystal pearls. There was a hint of nervousness in his voice, but more anticipation.

Amy sat by, intently analyzing the incoming data. Her eyes are fixed on the numbers and curves on the screen, and her brow is furrowed, forming a deep "Sichuan" word. "The signal was so mysterious, its frequency and pattern were changing all the time, as if it was sending some kind of complex message." "She muttered, her fingers rapping across the virtual keyboard, trying to pick a clue through the jumble of data.

Then David came up from behind with a repair tool in his hand. There was a slight heaviness in his step and a hint of fatigue on his face. "Everyone take a rest first, I have checked all the equipment of the ship, and there is no problem for the time being." There was a slight husk in his voice, as if he had just been through a fierce battle.

Tom nodded and looked away from the console at the players. "Okay, everybody take turns to rest and stay fresh. We don't know what's waiting for us." His voice was calm and strong, and there was something strangely reassuring about it.

Abdullah stood in front of the porthole, looking out at the bright stars. His eyes were filled with wonder and awe, and the endless stars shone mysterious like gems set in black velvet. "The universe is so beautiful and so mysterious that we don't know what we're up against." His voice was soft and poetic, as if he were telling an ancient legend.

Just as everyone was relaxing, the ship suddenly shuddered violently. The siren sounded in an instant, the sharp and hurried sound echoed through the cabin, and the red lights kept flashing like the eyes of a demon.

"No, it's an interstellar dust storm!" Xiao Lin shouted, his voice full of terror. His hands gripped the joystick harder, trying to steady the ship.

Tom rushed to the console at once, his eyes becoming very determined. "Stabilize the ship at full strength and activate the shields!" His voice was decisive and decisive, like that of a general commanding thousands of troops.

The players quickly returned to their posts, nervously operating the instruments. Amy's fingers flapped over the keyboard, her eyes glued to the changing data on the screen. David raced to the power module to prepare for a possible equipment failure.

"Shield power is dropping fast!" David's voice came over the communicator, full of anxiety.

"Increase power output!" Tom gave the order decisively, and the blue veins on his forehead burst, showing the tension and determination of his heart.

The ship struggled through the storm, like a lone leaf drifting in the wind and waves. The strong vibrations caused the players' bodies to shake constantly, and they clung to the fixed objects around them, trying to maintain their balance.

"Everybody hang in there, we'll get through this!" Tom shouted encouragement to the team, his voice clear in the noisy environment.

The ship groaned in pain during the storm, and the metal structure creaked as if it would break at any moment. The lights in the cabin flickered on and off, making the mood more tense.

After a thrilling struggle, the ship finally made it out of the storm. At that moment, the cabin fell into a brief silence, only the heavy breathing of the team members.

"Whew, safe at last." Xiao Lin breathed a sigh of relief, his body suddenly slumped into a chair, sweat soaked his back.

"Check the damage to the ship." Tom said, his voice breaking the silence and bringing the team out of their relaxed state.

David got up at once and went to inspect the various cabins with his tools. His figure shuttled through the narrow passageway, and his footsteps were very clear in the silence of the ship.

After some careful examination, David returned to the control module. His face with a touch of worry, "the situation is not very optimistic, some of the spacecraft equipment has been damaged to a certain extent, the power system and communication system have varying degrees of failure."

"Fortunately, it's not a problem. Give me a few hours to fix it." David took a deep breath and said firmly.

While David was working on the ship, so were the others. Amy continued to analyze the signal, trying to find more clues. Abdullah, for his part, studies biological samples and contemplates the life forms he might encounter on an unknown planet.

Tom sat at the console, thinking about his next action plan. "Hopefully the road ahead will be smoother." Amy prayed, her voice clear in the quiet cabin.

Minute by minute, David was busy in the hot power cabin, sweat dripping, but his hands never stopped. Finally, he breathed a sigh of relief. "It's fixed!"

The ship resumed normal operation again, and the faces of the team members showed a smile of relief. They know there is still a long way to go, but they are ready to meet any challenges.
